TABLELIGHT HOUSEBOOK
Privacy Ledger
The complete 18-section privacy policy for Tablelight Housebook version 1.0.0.
EFFECTIVE 7 AUGUST 2026 ยท VERSION 1.0.0
Policy matched to the released app
This ledger describes the actual source, permissions, storage and network behaviour of package nz.org.abbeyfieldauckland.tablelight.
1. Responsible entity and scope
This policy applies to Tablelight Housebook version 1.0.0, package nz.org.abbeyfieldauckland.tablelight, prepared for Abbeyfield Auckland Incorporated as a shared-home orientation companion. Privacy questions may be sent to office@abbeyfield.org.nz.
2. Offline application design
The release does not request Android Internet permission, create an online account, connect to a server, or fetch a live house, vacancy, menu, event, tenancy, staffing, or application feed. Core text and images are bundled with the app.
3. Information not collected
We do not collect names, contact details, account credentials, age, finances, assets, tenancy or application information, health or care information, medication, dietary requirements, disability details, location, contacts, photos, audio, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, payment information, free-text notes, or messages.
4. Optional local preferences
A user may select preset visit questions, studio preferences, participation modes, conversation intentions, garden interests, a rhythm segment, and accessibility settings. The Visit Kit can hold up to four ordered preset questions. These choices are not linked to a name.
5. Purpose and prohibited decisions
Local choices support private orientation and interface preferences. They are not used to assess housing need, suitability, independence, risk, capacity, eligibility, priority, tenancy, care level, health, conduct, social participation, or volunteer performance.
6. Device storage and processing
Preset choices are processed only on the device and stored in Android app-private SharedPreferences. Tablelight Housebook does not create a resident file, household roster, case record, attendance history, or behavioural score.
7. Permissions
The release requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, notification, Bluetooth, nearby-device, storage, health, accessibility-service, biometric, or advertising permission. Android may add an internal signature permission for framework component safety.
8. SDKs, advertising and analytics
The release contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, social SDK, cloud database, attribution service, payment SDK, AI network service, remote configuration, or third-party tracking library.
9. Sharing and third parties
Because the release does not transmit user data off the device, it does not sell, share, rent, disclose, or provide app-held user data to Abbeyfield, advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, insurers, health providers, government agencies, or other third parties.
10. Contact and external action
The app displays public contact details and source URLs as reference text. It does not place calls, compose email, open a browser, submit a form, reserve a viewing, join a waiting list, or send Visit Kit choices. A user chooses independently whether to contact an organisation outside the app.
11. Housing and eligibility limits
The app is not an application, tenancy service, vacancy source, affordability calculator, eligibility checker, property inspection, legal notice, or source of current charges. Only authorised people and current official processes can answer house-specific or residency questions.
12. Health, care and emergency limits
Tablelight Housebook is a housing-orientation and conversation tool, not a medical, nursing, aged-care, disability assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medication, fall-detection, emergency, safeguarding-report, or professional-care service. It does not replace human support or emergency services.
13. Accessibility and user choice
The app provides larger text, stronger contrast, reduced motion, descriptive image labels, large touch targets, and reversible preset choices. These settings affect only this app and do not infer disability, capacity, health, or support needs.
14. Retention
Local preferences remain until the user changes them, uses Clear local choices, clears Android app storage, or uninstalls the app. There is no server copy, account history, retention schedule for transmitted data, or recovery service.
15. Deletion and account requests
Clear local choices removes the app's preset selections immediately. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes all app-held state. Account deletion is not applicable because the release has no account system or server-side user profile.
16. Security and backup
Selections use Android app-private storage. Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app data. The privacy of an unlocked device or screenshot cannot be guaranteed; users should use device security and avoid treating the app as secure document storage.
17. Children and household privacy
The app is designed for adults considering, visiting, supporting, volunteering with, or living in shared housing. It is not directed to children and does not offer child accounts, family profiles, social features, messaging, user-generated content, targeted advertising, or public resident information.
18. Policy changes and contact
A future release that adds networking, accounts, forms, analytics, advertising, health features, permissions, or new data practices must update the app, public policy, Play Data safety answers, and applicable declarations before distribution. Privacy contact: office@abbeyfield.org.nz.
